This is my father's band, Roy Hit & His Jolly Amigos, which played weekend gigs at the Penang Chinese Swimming Club (circa 1957). Roy Hit & His Jolly Amigos - My father Robert Tan, playing the guitar here, is seated in the first row on the stage, third from the right. A long-time family friend, Ooi Eow Jin is at the piano.

Robert Tan (my father) - He played the guitar here but he played many instruments - the piano, the saxophone, the accordion and the vibraphone among them.
